For his expertise, insight and continued leadership in the dental benefits industry, NADP is pleased to honor Dr. Charles Stewart, Aetna, with the 2021 Gabryl Award, the dental benefits industry’s highest honor. NADP will honor Dr. Stewart Tuesday, Oct. 5 during the Virtual CONVERGE Opening General Session.

This past year NADP excelled in every area as we continued to provide exemplary education, zealous representation on behalf of our members and invaluable resources. This December newsletter provides a year in review. As you read the various updates regarding NADP programs and core services in the balance of this newsletter, I want to highlight some of the most memorable moments from 2019.

NADP is off to a great start in 2015, following a dynamic Leadership Conference in Dallas earlier this month. With record-breaking attendance and enthusiastic engagement, this Leadership Conference set a strong, positive tone for the future of our industry and association.

The end of the first quarter of 2015 is an important check point in our six-year journey under the new NADP Strategic Plan. It is an excellent time to review our course and evaluate the road signs along the way.

The National Academy for State Health Policy (NASHP) published a new Issue Brief and accompanying infographic on “Oral Health and the Triple Aim: Evidence and Strategies to Improve Care and Reduce Costs.”

NADP staff hosted a conference call with the authors of the latest ADA Health Policy Institute’s (HPI) Research Brief “Including Child Dental Benefits in Medical Plans in California Had Limited Impact on Premiums.”

The Health and Human Services Benefit and Payment Parameters (BPP) for Plan Year 2017 were submitted to the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) one month ago and could be released for public review and comment very soon (the rumor has the release as this Friday, but traditionally they have released it the week of Thanksgiving).

NADP continued to serve as your voice to wide array of industry stakeholders and the media in 2016.

The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) hosted a call early this week with NADP and Delta Dental Plans Association to let us know they were releasing the Notice of Benefit & Payment Parameters for Plan Year 2018.
