We appreciate your interest in NADP. When you visit and navigate our site and when you communicate with us via our web platforms, we do not collect personal information about you unless you provide us that information voluntarily. By "personal information," we mean data that is unique to an individual, such as a name, home address, or personal telephone number. We strive to make users aware of the kinds of information we collect, why we collect that information, how we use it, and whether it will be shared with others.

From time to time, we may request personal information from you in order to deliver requested materials to you, respond to your questions, or deliver a product or service. The concept of online privacy includes the right to decide what personal information you choose to submit online, and how that information will be used, if at all.

If you voluntarily provide personal information to us, we will not sell, license or transmit that information outside of NADP unless required to do so by legal, judicial or governmental proceedings, or unless we do so in accordance with an express authorization you have given us.

We may disclose information to our contractors or agents for the purpose of enabling them to perform certain functions for us. We will disclose information in compliance with applicable laws and regulations and will require the recipient to protect the information and use it only for the purpose provided.

Information Collected Automatically on nadp.org

As is true of most other websites, nadp.org collects certain information automatically and stores it in log files. The information may include internet protocol (IP) addresses, the region or general location where your computer or device is accessing the internet, browser type, operating system and other usage information about the use of nadp.org, including a history of the pages you view. We use this information to help us design our site to better suit our users’ needs. We may also use your IP address to help diagnose problems with our server and to administer our website, analyze trends, track visitor movements, and gather broad demographic information that assists us in identifying visitor preferences. Nadp.org also uses cookies and web beacons. It does not track users when they cross to third party websites, does not provide targeted advertising to them, and therefore does not respond to Do Not Track (DNT) signals.

When and how we share information with others

Information about your NADP purchases are maintained in association with your membership or profile account. The personal information NADP collects from you is stored in one or more databases hosted by third parties located in the United States. These third parties do not use or have access to your personal information for any purpose other than cloud storage and retrieval.

Information Collected when you Become an NADP Member

When you become an NADP member, we collect information about you including (but not limited to) your name, your employer’s name, your work address (including your country location), mailing address, and your email address. We may also collect your personal email address, a personal mailing address, and a mobile phone number. We ask members to voluntarily provide additional information in their membership profile. Members may edit their profile at any time to change, add, or remove personal information here.

We process your personal information for membership administration, to deliver member benefits to you, and to inform you of NADP-related events, news, advocacy, and other benefits or opportunities associated with your NADP membership. NADP may also use this information to help us understand our members’ needs and interests to better tailor our products and services to meet your needs.

Information Collected in the Knowledge Center

If you register or purchase anything in the Knowledge Center, we will access the information in your account to provide you with information and services associated with the event as well as keep a record of your purchase history. We do not store your payment information.  If you are not a member and you register or purchase something from the Knowledge Center, we will collect your name and contact information, which we will store in our database(s) and use to provide you with information and services associated with the event as well as store your purchase history of products on the platform.

If you are a presenter at one of your events or webinars, we will collect information about you including your name, employer and contact information, a bio, and photograph, and we may also collect information provided by event attendees who evaluated your performance as a presenter. We may also make and store a recording of your voice and likeness in certain instances.

We keep a record of your participation at NADP events as an attendee or presenter. This is used to help NADP understand our members’ needs and interests to better tailor our products and services to meet your needs.

Some of our events are sponsored. NADP may provide an attendee list to sponsors and exhibitors of our events. NADP may also allow sponsors and/or exhibitors to send you material by email. If you do not wish to have your information included in an attendee list or to receive information, you can express your preferences when you register for events by contacting info@nadp.org.

Information Collected via NADP Correspondence

If you correspond with us by email, the postal service, or other form of communication, we may retain such correspondence and the information contained in it and use it to respond to your inquiry; to notify you of NADP conferences or other services; or to keep a record of your complaint, accommodation request, and the like. As always, if you wish to have NADP “erase” your personal information or otherwise refrain from communicating with you, please contact us at info@nadp.org or update your profile here.

Note: if you ask NADP not to contact you by email at a certain email address, the NADP will retain a copy of that email address on its “master do not send” list in order to comply with your no-contact request.

Payment and Information

You may choose to purchase goods or services from NADP using a credit card. Typically, credit card information is provided directly by users, via knowledge.nadp.org, into the PCI/DSS-compliant payment processing service to which NADP subscribes, and NADP does not, itself, process or store the card information. Occasionally, members or customers ask NADP employees to, on their behalf, enter credit card information into the PCI/DSS-compliant payment processing service to which the NADP subscribes. We strongly encourage you not to submit this information by email. When NADP employees receive credit card information from customers or members by email, fax, phone, or mail, it is entered as instructed and then deleted or destroyed.

What happens if you don’t give us your data

You can enjoy many of NADP services without giving us your personal data. Much of the information on nadp.org is available even to those who are not NADP members. You can even enter only the minimal amount of information (name and contact information) to your NADP member profile if you wish, and you can edit your profile at any time here. Some personal information is necessary so that NADP can supply you with the services you have purchased or requested, and to authenticate you so that we know it is you and not someone else. You may manage your NADP subscriptions and you may opt-out of receiving marketing communication at any time. Also, know that if you do not provide us with at least an email address, you will not be able to login to any of NADP web platforms.

Security of your information

To help protect the privacy of data and personally identifiable information you transmit through use of this Site, we maintain physical, technical and administrative safeguards. We update and test our security technology on an ongoing basis. We restrict access to your personal data to those employees who need to know that information to provide benefits or services to you. In addition, we train our employees about the importance of confidentiality and maintaining the privacy and security of your information. We commit to taking appropriate disciplinary measures to enforce our employees' privacy responsibilities.

Data storage and retention

Your personal data is stored by NADP in our database, a cloud-based database management service that NADP engages, located in the United States. NADP retains data for the duration of the customer’s or member’s business relationship with NADP. For more information on where and how long your personal data is stored, and for more information on your rights of erasure and portability, please contact NADP at info@nadp.org.

Changes and updates to the Privacy Notice

As our organization, membership and benefits change from time to time, this Privacy Notice and Conditions of Use is expected to change as well. We reserve the right to amend the Privacy Notice and Conditions of Use at any time, for any reason, without notice to you, other than the posting of the amended Privacy Notice and Conditions of Use at this Site. We may e-mail periodic reminders of our notices and terms and conditions and will e-mail NADP members of material changes thereto, but you should check our Site frequently to see the current Privacy Notice and Conditions of Use that is in effect and any changes that may have been made to it.

Definitions of Privacy Terms

Cookies: Cookies are small pieces of information that Web servers or pages store on a user’s hard drive. There are two types of cookies: session cookies and persistent cookies. Both types of cookies allow Internet servers to "remember" specific information about a user. Web sites use them primarily to personalize their sites for individual users, to keep track of orders when users purchase products, and to target advertising toward users based on the information that they access. However, session cookies will "remember" that information for only as long as you explore a Web site during one "session” or visit to the Web site. Session cookies will not "remember" information about you when you return to the site for subsequent visits. However, persistent cookies will "remember" this information for more than one session. NADP does not use persistent cookies on our web site unless you are a regular visitor to the site that has a user ID and password.

Encryption: Encryption technology ensures the protection of personal information via private, secure transactions.
