Plans are well underway for the publication and distribution of CDT 2021. The 2021 Change Document, an exclusive NADP benefit, is now ready for NADP members.

To represent our member companies effectively and provide meaningful resources, the Government Relations Workgroup (GRW) continually keeps a watchful eye on key state issues. GRW is currently monitoring the status of state legislatures and issues plus the activities of the National Council of Insurance Legislators (NCOIL).

It is an exciting time to be a member of NADP. With autumn approaching, we continue to deliver our core services as we plan for the future.

CONVERGE 2020

Education is an NADP core service and CONVERGE is its cornerstone. In less than a month, NADP will host virtual CONVERGE 2020. This annual conference offers more than 20 hours of professional development programs and multiple opportunities to connect with our friends and colleagues online. I am looking forward to this unique event and hope you are too.

A quick glimpse of the CONVERGE schedule displays the wide range of relevant educational topics available, presented as both live and pre-recorded content. In addition, all sessions will feature a live Q&A. One advantage of the virtual format is that you can listen to all the sessions in the line-up because all of them will have a recorded option available.

On Oct. 1, by a vote of 214 – 207, the House passed a revised version of the Health and Economic Recovery Omnibus Emergency Solutions (HEROES) Act, mostly along party lines. The bill is all but certain to not be considered in the Senate. President Trump announced via Twitter on Oct. 6 that there will be no further negotiations on a relief bill until after the election.

NADP is starting the New Year in the right direction, with a thought-provoking look at our industry and association. This week NADP hosted the 2021 Leadership Conference where a record-breaking number of volunteers provided answers to three key questions to be used in the strategic planning process as well as updates to their annual work plans that contribute to the advancement of the dental benefits industry. The thought, effort, input, and work put in by all our volunteers during this conference will provide incredibly valuable insight into NADP’s focus and planning for 2021 and beyond. On behalf of the Board of Directors, I commend our volunteers for their dedication and expertise and thank them for their service to NADP.
