On May 25, by a vote of 55-44, the Senate confirmed Chiquita Brooks-LaSure to be administrator of the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS). She previously served as a deputy director of CMS under President Obama, and a senior staffer in the Senate where she helped to write the Affordable Care Act.
