NADP Spotlight
By Mike Adelberg, Executive Director
CONVERGE Brings Our Industry Together
Each year, NADP CONVERGE gives our industry something increasingly valuable: dedicated time together. It brings thought leaders, plan executives, business partners and other experts into the same conversations, creating space for multiple perspectives on the issues shaping the dental benefits marketplace.
This year’s conference will showcase practical solutions designed to improve processes, productivity, and profitability while offering timely professional development on current and emerging trends. Whether attendees are focused on operations, policy, technology, customer experience or market strategy, CONVERGE provides opportunities to learn from peers and partners who are working through many of the same challenges.
This year, we are offering two new general session panels. For the first time, we are featuring Chief Dental Officers from three NADP members on a general session stage. We are bringing forward a panel focused on two critical industry stakeholders—dental office managers and the agents who sell dental insurance. That panel will have senior staff from professional associations representing these stakeholders and as well as a member of both organizations.
We are making some updates to the familiar CONVERGE template to enhance this year’s conference experience. We have reimagined the CEO Lunch and Business Meeting, combining these two previously separate events for top leaders from our member plans. This streamlined format will support a more efficient Board of Directors election process, with results announced before the conclusion of CONVERGE.
The NADP Foundation will have greater visibility throughout CONVERGE, including a Wednesday morning video presentation focused on the Foundation’s good work. I also encourage attendees to participate in the 50-50 raffle to support the Foundation. Please read the related article in this newsletter for more information about the Foundation’s important work.
Finally, I want to emphasize the essential role of NADP volunteers. Volunteers provide the talent, expertise and direction that fuel our association’s success. To improve efficiency and help commissions and workgroups begin their work earlier in the year, NADP is expediting the volunteer application process. The annual Call for Volunteers will launch after Labor Day and conclude at CONVERGE. New and returning volunteers must sign up to serve on 2027 groups, and I encourage every interested member to raise their hand. For more details, please see the related article in this newsletter.
As you can see, CONVERGE offers multiple avenues for member engagement. If you’re not already registered for this premier industry event, I encourage you to do so today!
