Stakeholder Meetings

ADA CMC

NADP members and staff represented the dental benefits industry at recent Code Maintenance Committee meeting March 7 at the American Dental Association headquarters in Chicago. NADP members Drs. Mary Lee Conicella, Aetna; Katie Deffke, United Concordia Dental; and Cherag Sarkari, LIBERTY Dental Plan and Deputy Executive Director Timothy L. Brown represented NADP. Drs. Jeff Chaffin, Delta Dental of Iowa, and Linda Vidone, Delta Dental of Massachusetts, represented additional CMC voting members. CMC annually updates the Current Dental Terminology®.  Results of their work will be published in CDT 2025, which will be distributed upon payment to participants of the NADP Licensing Program later this year

ADA SCDI

Dental Informatics Director Brian Flynn served as the voice of the dental benefits industry at the recent American Dental Association Standards Committee on Dental Informatics in New Orleans, March 11-13. SCDI develops informatics standards and technical reports to assist the dental profession with hardware and software selection, digital photography, interoperability, data security and more.

Women in DSO

NADP Director of Membership and Communications Rene Chapin represented members at the March 7-8 Women in DSO Conference in Las Vegas. The conference empowers and mentors women serving in all areas of dental support organizations.
