To add value to Associate memberships, the NADP Board of Directors recently approved creation of the DSO Advisory Council.
The DSO
Advisory Council falls under the same structural area of NADP’s
volunteer groups as the FAIR Health Workgroup. The Council will elect a
representative who will meet once or twice a year with the NADP Board of
Directors to discuss common issues shared by carriers and dental
support organizations.
Council
participants will include representatives from Associate members and
dental plan members with DSO affiliates. NADP communicated with the
primary contacts for both Associate and dental plan members regarding
formation of the Council and will be scheduling a conference call in
advance next month and meeting at CONVERGE. The Council will also have a
dedicated Dental Interact Community.
Had the
Council been in place a few years ago, it would have been a vehicle to
raise the need for streamlined credentialing, which is currently a
project for the Operations WorkGroup.
