The following Louisiana bills have been on the Government Relations WorkGroup’s radar.
LA HB 387, a network leasing bill, was signed into law on June 1. NADP was able to secure an amendment to the bill that would limit the requirement to providing notice only when the provider contract is entered into (and not renewed).
LA S 82, an external review bill, was signed into law on June 4. The bill made dental claims subject to external review. There was an amendment that made the minimum threshold $250, but NADP sent a letter in opposition citing cost effectiveness.
