The Center for
Consumer Information and Insurance Oversight (CCIIO) has posted final
Essential Health Benefits (EHB) benchmarks for Plan Year 2017 and
related documents online here: https://www.cms.gov/cciio/resources/data-resources/ehb.html. A chart summarizing the benchmarks is available online here.
At first
glance, it looks like South Carolina has updated its benchmark
designation to include FEDVIP as a supplement for dental. The previous
proposed list did not include a supplement, thus referring to dental
benefits included in the medical benchmark.
NADP submitted comments on the proposed list in September. We will review the final list more closely and report on other changes in the Health Care Reform Open Forum (HCR OF). (login and subscription required).
