In early March, the California Department of Managed Health Care (DMHC) distributed a notice
instructing carriers that maintain provider lists to submit a Provider
Directories filing no later than April 30, 2015. According to the checklist, this filing is required of full service plans and specialized plans that maintain a provider list pursuant to Section 1367.26.
The required filing is described in a Word document:
“CA DMHC 2015 Provider Directory Checklist 3.5.2015.” In addition to
several data points and explanations about how the carrier
collects/monitors provider directory data and provides it to enrollees,
the DMHC will also require carriers to complete and submit the attached
Excel document or Template on elements included in the Directory. It is
unclear if and which reported Exhibits could be made public.
