2004 Professional Biography
As Chairman of the NADP Foundation Board of Directors, Dr. Adams continued strengthening the communication between NADP and the ADA and was instrumental in NADP being named to the Code Review Committee and achieving the NADP CDT Licensing Agreement.
Dr. Adams championed a Board initiative to strengthen the “Value Proposition” for NADP membership which resulted in 18 new members joining during his term as 2003 Board Chairman.
Dr. Adams continually strives to improve value for NADP members via educational programming. D. Adams introduced the Virtual Seminar concept three years ago and they have become a significant value for member plans.
Following dental school, Dr. Adams completed two dental specialty training programs, Oral Pathology (MS) and Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery as well as an MBA. Dr. Adams maintained a private surgery practice for 15 years and was the VP of Professional Relations & Business development for Anthem BCBS Dental & Vision from 1997 – 2003 and the VP of Business Development & Dental Director for Dental Select from 2003 until August of this year.
Dr. Adams is the founder/CEO of The Concept Group, a collaborative alliance of healthcare consultants, and ProBusiness Online, an online learning management company.
