2000 Professional Biography

In her 12 years as Vice President of CIGNA Dental, Gail has held the responsibility for the compliance and government activities for DHMO, DPPO, and indemnity dental products.  In her 23 years with CIGNA Dental she has significantly contributed to the national growth of CIGNA’s managed care dental products.

Gail has contributed in similar fashion to NADP’s growth and influence in legislative matters over the past decade.  She spearheaded the creation of NADP public policy statements, resolutions, and government relations educational materials, including the critical “Dental is Different” message.  Gail has served as a catalyst to activate member plans to work together to defeat, modify and support enactment of legislation and regulations. She has extended her influence to the HIAA’s Dental Relations Committee advocating collaboration with NADP in that forum as well.

In her tenure on the NADP Board of Directors, Gail was Vice-Chair to two Chairmen and both serried on and chaired the Nominating Committee for two different terms.

Her advocacy and level-headed approach to problems has garnered the respect of her peers and led to her appointment this year as Chair of the Government Relations Impact Task Force to examine the issue of expansion of voting membership to indemnity carriers from the government relations perspective. She continues to participate actively on NADP’s Government Relations Commission and champion dental issues at local and national levels.

Gail holds a Bachelor’s degree from Nova University.
