What You Need to Know About MA Dental Benefits

In the last half-year, a handful of publications have cast a critical eye on Medicare Advantage (MA) supplemental benefits, including dental benefits. As with most public policy topics, there are enough data points with respect to MA supplemental benefits, and dental benefits in particular, to substantiate a variety of viewpoints. Having said that, I strongly believe that the core narrative about MA dental benefits begins with this: The vast majority of MA beneficiaries choose plans with dental benefits and those benefits are more comprehensive and valuable today than they were just a half dozen years ago. With Dr. Mark Jurkovich, I recently had the honor of co-authoring an essay on MA dental benefits, “Medicare Advantage Dental Benefits: Steady Improvement Is More Of The Same,”  for Health Affairs Forefront.
