United Concordia Dental Awards $410,000 to 24 Pennsylvania Organizations for Education Funding
CAMP HILL, Pa. (July 28, 2023) — Twenty-four community-based organizations across the state have been awarded a combined $410,000 in grants from United Concordia Dental, a subsidiary of Highmark Inc., to help enhance educational opportunities for students through Pennsylvania’s Educational Improvement Tax Credit (EITC) and Opportunity Scholarship Tax Credit (OSTC) programs.
The funding includes $150,000 for scholarship programs, $110,000 for pre-K scholarship assistance, and $150,000 for opportunity scholarships providing tuition assistance to students who live in areas with low-achieving schools. The EITC and OSTC programs are available to Pennsylvania businesses paying specific state taxes and applying for participation to the program’s administrator, the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development.

- Bravo Foundation
- Cathedral Preparatory School and Villa Maria Academy
- Central Catholic and Oakland Catholic high schools and the Campus Laboratory School of Carlow University through the Central Pa. Scholarship Fund
- Community Foundation of Fayette County
- Crossroads Foundation
- Danville Child Development Center
- Diocese of Scranton Scholarship Foundation
- Fund for Advancement of Minorities through Education
- George Junior Republic
- Greater Wyoming Valley YMCA
- Imani Christian Academy
- Jewish Federation of the Lehigh Valley
- Neumann Scholarship Fund through the Diocese of Harrisburg
- New School Montessori
- Pittsburgh Urban Christian School
- ProJeCt of Easton
- River Valley Regional YMCA
- Star Foundation of Erie
- The Nativity School of Harrisburg
- The Neighborhood Academy
- Trinity Christian Academy and Westmoreland Christian Academy through the ACSI Children’s Tuition Fund
- Trinity Lutheran School
- YMCA of Greater Erie
