Rhode Island Seeks to Erode Non-Covered Services Law

This legislative session, Rhode Island is once again attempting to redefine covered services for dental. H5160 would deviate from the National Council of Insurance Legislators (NCOIL) definition and remove the application of contractual limitations. NADP and its industry partners submitted testimony in opposition to the bill warning legislators that the definition change would hurt consumers by greatly narrowing the range of contractual discounts for dental services available to them.
