Nominations Committee Announces Initial Slate of Six Board Candidates

Six nominees have stepped forward to vie for three (3) vacancies on the NADP Board of Directors. The candidates elected will serve three-year terms. Earlier this year the Board-appointed the Nominations Committee sought candidates from the NADP membership. Delegates from voting member plans received the announcement of the initial slate of nominees last week and it also posted in the NADP Open Forum in Dental Interact. The nominees are:

• Ron Bolden, Cigna
• Jeremy Hedrick, Careington
• Theresa McConeghey, Principal Financial Group
• Josh Nace, Dental Health Services
• Jeff Schwab, Dominion Dental
• Sue Wright, Lincoln Financial Group

All potential candidates were evaluated on geography, company size, association involvement and other factors, i.e. single markets, multi-state plans, group practice, and form of ownership.

NADP Members may add nominees directly to the proposed slate by filing a petition with the NADP office. The petition must be supported by representatives of five (5) voting member plans and received no later than Friday, Aug. 28. Five e-mail recommendations of the same candidate are an acceptable means of meeting this requirement.

While voting begins at the Annual Meeting on Sept. 30, it remains open until 5 PM Central Time, Friday, Oct. 16. Those Delegates eligible to vote will receive a ballot either during the Business Meeting or via email after the close of CONVERGE, the NADP annual conference.
