NADP staff is currently reviewing the final rule, “Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act; HHS Notice of Benefit and Payment Parameters for 2023” (CMS-9911-F), alongside the PY2023 Final Letter to Issuers, released April 28 by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS).
The final rule establishes the requirements for plans offering on the federal marketplaces in Plan Year 2023, including new network adequacy requirements for stand-alone dental plans. While the rule includes previously proposed time and distance requirements for dental care, the rule delays the implementation of wait period limitations until PY2024.
