As Congress takes action to advance legislation responding to the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, NADP has partnered with more than 400 organizations, led by Families USA, to advocate for legislation that ensures American families have the ability to seek the care they need to stay healthy. In a letter sent on April 23, NADP and others called on Congress to provide additional funding for state Medicaid programs; provide enhanced premium tax credits and COBRA (Consolidated Omnibus Budget Reconciliation Act) subsidies; open a national special enrollment period; and provide financial assistance for low-income, uninsured patients in the health insurance exchange in non-Medicaid expansion states.
