Serving our Members on Multiple Fronts
NADP is entering the summer months in high gear. Following are some highlights from key programs and core services.
Website development project: A few months ago, several volunteers participated in “tree testing,” which provided NADP with insightful feedback on building a new NADP.org. Since then, NADP staff has worked closely with developers to create the organizational structure and the look and feel for the new NADP website. Be on the lookout this fall when we will launch the revamped NADP.org.
Nominations Committee: The Nominations Committee is already at work creating an initial slate of Board candidates to propose to the Board of Directors. NADP will announce the initial slate of nominees in an email to delegates and publish the initial slate in the Aug. newsletter.
Research: NADP recently released one of our most popular research publications, the 2021 State of the Market Report. The free report contains highlights from all the research in the previous year. Login and download your copy from the Knowledge Center.
Education: A quick glimpse of the recently updated CONVERGE schedule indicates a robust program of professional development and networking opportunities. I hope to see you in Saint Louis for this premier industry event!
Advocacy: The government relations department continues to represent us on a myriad of state and federal issues. Recently NADP posted a review of applicable sections of Plan Year 2023 Notice of Benefit and Payment Parameters in the Advocacy Open Forum of Dental Interact. The review covered teledentistry, tiered networks, standards for time and distance, appointment wait times and downstream entities, essential community providers, web broker disclaimers, 1557 nondiscrimination, user fees and standard plan requirements. If your company does not have a representative in this open forum, I encourage you to subscribe today—contact Director of Membership and Communications Rene Chapin for more information.
TST: The addition of the Terminology Talk column in this newsletter provides greater insight into the contributions of this vital aspect of our industry. Meanwhile, NADP continues to represent the industry to key stakeholders governing electronic data interchange standards through the Terminology, Standards and Transaction Initiative. See NADP on the Move for updates on recent activity.
The brief list above provides a quick glimpse into key NADP activities designed to provide value to our members as we advance the dental benefits industry. Please contact me if you have any questions regarding the direction of NADP.
