Stakeholder Meetings

DDPA Conference

On May 8, Executive Director Mike Adelberg represented NADP members at the Delta Dental Plans Association meeting in New Orleans, Louisiana.

GUAA

NADP Director of Research and Information Jerry Berggren presented at the Group Underwriters Association of America conference May 19-20 in Nashville, Tennessee. His presentations included Dental Market Trends and Medical Loss Ratio Regulations Impacting Dental Marketplace.

AADC

Dental Informatics Director Brian Flynn traveled to Bonita Springs, Florida, to represent NADP at the American Association of Dental Consultants (AADC) conference on May 15-19.

HL7

Dental Informatics Director Brian Flynn served as the voice of the dental benefits industry during the Health Level Seven (HL7) International® Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resources® Connectathon in Dallas, Texas. Meeting highlights included a discussion of Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resources (FHIR), a standard set of rules and specifications for exchanging electronic healthcare data. In addition, potential legal issues related to the use of artificial intelligence were also discussed.

AIA News Release

NADP distributed the news release, NADP Advocates for Improved Access to Dental Benefits and Care. The release highlights NADP legislative priorities advanced during Advocacy in Action, May 7-9 in Washington, D.C. It had a reach of 3.9 billion and 3,939 immediate views within the first hour of publication.
