SNOMED

Drs. Mark Jurkovich, HealthPartners; and Linda Vidone, CareQuest Institute and NADP Deputy Executive Director Timothy L. Brown represented the dental benefits industry at the recent SNOMED CT Business Meeting 2026 and Dentistry Clinical Reference Group (CRG) meetings from April 11-15, in Vienna, Austria. SNOMED CT is a general clinical reference terminology, meaning its intent is to represent clinical concepts across many domains, which includes conditions, diagnoses, symptoms, and signs, all of which are a type of finding. NADP Executive Director Mike Adelberg and Director of Government Relations Bianca Balale represented the dental benefits industry at the spring meeting of the National Council of Insurance Legislators in Louisville, Kentucky. The meeting included a presentation on network leasing in healthcare. See the federal advocacy section of the newsletter for more details.

NADP News Release – On April 20, NADP distributed a news release, NADP appoints first dentist to lead informatics program. During its first two hours of wire distribution, the release received 3,015 total views, 1,026 unique readers, 248 full placements for a reach of 26.21 million.
