An analysis of publicly available government data indicates that 39% of Americans over age 55 have dental coverage through public programs, while 31% have private dental insurance through employer-sponsored insurance, Medigap, or a stand-alone dental plan suggesting that approximately 31 million (31%) individuals aged 55 and older remain without dental coverage.
