NADP Foundation Readies for New Round of Grants

The NADP Foundation received 43 grant applications for 2026 (up from 19 applications in fall 2025). The list includes 37 first-time applicants and six returning applicants (including all three 2025 grantees). Each submission has now been reviewed for alignment with the Foundation’s mission and for compliance with the requirements specified in the Request for Proposal. Among the qualified proposals, several focus on increasing access to care and service expansion as well as enhancing dental benefit education and training. Fifteen highly qualified applications are now with a selection panel of two oral health academicians and an NADP Board officer. In December, the Foundation is expected to announce two or three 2026 grantees. The Foundation has $100,000 in grant funds available; 43 applications requested over $1.9 million.

As discussed at CONVERGE, the NADP Foundation is an independent 501(c)(3) legal entity aligned with and staffed by NADP. It has been dormant for much of the last decades before being revived in 2023 and making grants for three mission-aligned projects in late 2024. NADP members are being asked to make modest contributions to continue the Foundation as part of the annual dues process. Contributions to the Foundation can be made at any time and are tax-deductible.
