NADP Board Elects Officers

Members of the National Association of Dental Plan (NADP) Board of Directors recently elected the following officers:

• Chair: Richard Jones, The Guardian Life Insurance Company of America
• Vice Chair: Amy Miller, Delta Dental of South Carolina
• Treasurer: Stacia Almquist, USAble Life
• Secretary: Mike Trebold, Ameritas Life Insurance Corp.

Richard Jones, Vice President for State Affairs at The Guardian Life Insurance Company of America. He manages a multi-state legislative and regulatory agenda primarily in support of Guardian’s Group Benefits business unit. Prior to joining Guardian, he held executive positions at GE Capital, Mastercard and several global public relations consultancies. Richard is a board member of the Association of California Life & Health Insurance Companies, the Utah Life & Health Insurance Guaranty Association, the California Association of Dental Plans, and is a member of the Board of Trustees of the Wooster School in Danbury, CT. Richard holds a master’s degree in journalism and a bachelor’s degree in communications, both from Ohio University.

Amy Miller is regional vice president of sales and account management at Delta Dental of South Carolina. She joined the organization in 2025 and leads sales and account management teams in its Columbia office.  She has more than 20 years of experience in the insurance industry, including medical and dental claims, customer service, provider network management, product development and sales. She previously served as principal business operations advisor at BlueCross BlueShield of North Carolina, as dental product sales director at BlueCross BlueShield of South Carolina and as supervisor of provider support services and specialty network manager at BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee.

Stacia Almquist joined USAble Life in April 2025 as Vice President of Dental Product and Network Management, leading strategic efforts for dental product and network growth with Blue Cross Blue Shield partner plans. She oversees a team of 33, including five direct reports, focusing on dental product strategy, network development, operations, and analysis. Previously, Stacia was Vice President of Network and Market Development at Unum, where she led a team of 75 and focused on dental and vision network growth, product development, and market development. Before Unum, she spent 20 years at Sun Life Financial as Vice President of Dental and Vision, managing a team of 170. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Actuarial Science from Drake University, graduating Magna Cum Laude.

Mike Trebold is a Director of Compliance at Ameritas Life Insurance Corp., which he joined in 2014.  His key responsibilities include oversight of legislative and regulatory issues as well as advocacy.  He has over 20 years of experience in the insurance industry, previously serving in various compliance and advocacy roles. He earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Nebraska – Lincoln and a Juris Doctor from the University of Nebraska College of Law.

Molly Imming, Aetna / CVS Health

Imming is the Executive Director of Strategy and Product for Aetna Dental, a CVS Health Company. She is a knowledgeable healthcare professional with more than 18 years’ experience and a diverse skill set.

Crystal McElroy, MetLife

McElroy is a Vice President at Metropolitan Life Insurance Company (“MetLife”) with oversight of the Group Benefits, Contracts and Compliance team.  She is also President of the California Association of Denta Plans.

Brad Peak, Sun Life U.S.

Peak is Assistant Vice President of Dental and Vision Product and Strategy for Sun Life’s Dental and Vision businesses. He develops initiatives that drive sustainable revenue growth. Peak also serves as President of the NADP Foundation.

Dr. Cherag Sarkari, LIBERTY Dental Plan

Dr. Sarkari is the Chief Dental Officer of LIBERTY Dental Plan. Prior positions at LIBERTY include Dental Director of California and National Dental Director for Quality improvement and Clinical Innovation.

Christina Tuller, Cigna

Tuller is the Director of Product Strategy for Dental and Vision for Cigna Healthcare. She is a knowledgeable healthcare professional with 20 + years of experience in healthcare and has a diverse skill set. 

Donna Hunter, United Concordia Dental

Immediate Past Board Chair Donna Hunter will continue to serve as an ex-officio member of the Executive Committee. Hunter is Vice President, Strategic Business Development at United Concordia Dental and is responsible for overseeing corporate strategy, business insights and advanced analytics, corporate communications, and community outreach.
