Give Back with NADP Community Care in Action at CONVERGE

This year at CONVERGE, NADP is proud to launch Community Care in Action, our first-ever service project, bringing members, exhibitors, and partners together to make a meaningful impact on the local area during the annual conference, Sept. 28–Oct. 1 in Indianapolis.

This year, Community Care in Action will benefit United Way Central Indiana by assembling hygiene kits. The United Way will deliver the kits to select partner agencies that serve families in the ALICE (Asset-Limited, Income Constrained Employed) population.

How It Will Work

Participation in Community Care in Action is optional. It will engage both CONVERGE attendees and Discovery Zone exhibitors. It is designed to be simple, engaging, and flexible for attendees and exhibitors.

Attendees who wish to participate will:

  • Pick up an empty bag with a list of hygiene items needed to complete the kit when they print their badge at registration.
  • Collect items by visiting at least 10 participating exhibitor booths that will have items necessary to complete the kit as part of a fun “passport-style” experience.
  • Drop off their filled kits at the designated collection area near the registration desk.

Completed kits will be collected Thursday morning by United Way Central Indiana with photo opportunities available to capture the impact.

A Shared Effort

Together, we’re aiming to assemble 500–700 community care kits for United Way Central Indiana.

To make this possible, exhibitors are asked to contribute $100 to help offset the cost of included items, ensuring every kit is fully equipped and impactful.  Exhibitors do not need to purchase the items. NADP will purchase all kit items and coordinate distribution of the items among participating exhibit booths.

Whether you fill a kit, cheer others on, or help spread the word, Community Care in Action is an easy way to give back while you’re at CONVERGE.

Plan to participate and be part of NADP’s first collective service effort because care is better when we act together.
