Full Steam Ahead for NADP Foundation

2026 has been a busy year for the NADP Foundation and there’s much more to come! Read on for a look at our 2026 grantees and some of the ways we are amplifying the good work of our Foundation. But first, check out the opportunities below to support the Foundation and make a real difference.

Become a Foundation Champion: Organizations and individuals that make tax-deductible contributions of $5,000 or more are recognized as Foundation Champions in appreciation of their commitment. Champions receive recognition on the Foundation website, materials, and NADP events, and visibility before and during the CONVERGE conference. Champions also receive a Foundation Champion logo (below) that can be used on your website and in your materials as you see fit.

A Special Opportunity to Make Your Support Go Even Further: Take advantage of NADP’s Board of Directors’ matching gift directive through which your donation will be matched up to $100,000, doubling the impact of your generosity! Donations are easily made on the Foundation’s website.

2026 Grantees are Hard at Work: At the midyear point, 2026 NADP Foundation grantees are making good progress.

The Children’s Oral Health Network of Maine is ahead of schedule on its Cavity Free Futures project, which is designed to expand self-paced online training modules, family-facing interventions, and sustainability planning for dental billing. At midyear, the training modules have been completed, five partner organizations have signed on, and several groups have already begun working through the training.

Columbia University College of Dental Medicine is on track with its AHEAD project, which is developing training for dental students on insurance, benefits, coding, and billing. The training will be piloted with third-year dental students in the fall as part of a core health care delivery course.

The University of New Haven is implementing a digital patient intake system and on-demand interpretation services in a community clinic setting. At midyear, the project’s iPads have been set up and are already being used by patients to complete medical history forms and support clinic operations.

The University of Pikeville is on schedule with its teledentistry-focused initiative aimed at better understanding why children in Central Appalachia who have dental benefits may still face barriers to care. At midyear, the team is building the infrastructure needed for successful implementation, including faculty and research support, assessment tool development, and curriculum planning.

Amplifying the NADP Foundation: The Foundation Board recently approved a plan to raise awareness of the Foundation and increase giving opportunities. Many of the initiatives are underway – an enhanced social media campaign; outreach to NADP partners and sponsors; a raffle during CONVERGE; and a giving campaign to coincide with NADP’s membership renewal season.

The Foundation’s mission is to advance research and education initiatives that increase access to oral health services and dental benefits for the people our industry serves. We fulfill this mission by making grants to organizations to implement projects that:

• Demonstrate improvements in access to oral healthcare;
• Demonstrate innovations in oral healthcare delivery;
• Support the advancement of the administration of dental benefits;
• Enhance the dental insurance and dental benefits knowledge of oral health professionals and dental students.
