Tips for Grant Applicants
Review the Request for Proposals (RFP)
Before beginning your application, we ask that you read the full RFP, which is located on the NADP Foundation Grants page. This page also contains the Application Portal for submission of required materials.
Align With Foundation Priorities
Demonstrate how your project advances our mission. The NADP Foundation encourages proposals that consider diversity, access barriers, and social determinants of health.
Proposals will be evaluated based on the following criteria:
- Potential Impact and Significance
- Capacity, Feasibility, and Methodology
- Cost-Effectiveness
- Alignment with NADP Foundation's mission and objectives
Provide a Realistic Budget
Outline all expenses using the NADP Foundation Budget Template and provide explanations where appropriate. Note: NADP Foundation does not fund indirect costs.
Ask all questions during the provided Q&A Period
As outlined in the RFP, there is an allotted period during which questions are welcomed to ensure that applicants have sufficient time and information to prepare all required documentation prior to the submission deadline. All questions should be sent to foundation@nadp.org.
Double-Check All Requirements
Due to the volume of applications we receive, incomplete or improperly outlined proposals may be disqualified. For example, we have disqualified projects for missing required technical elements, such as resume/CV or timeline/milestones. Review the RFP carefully and make sure all required materials are included prior to submission.
Submit Early
Submit your application well before the deadline to avoid possible technical issues or disqualification. Late submissions will not be considered. If the Foundation requires additional information, you may receive an email requesting clarification.
