Donna Hunter, United Concordia Dental

NADP is proud to celebrate Donna Hunter of United Concordia Dental, the 2026 recipient of the Gabryl Award, the dental benefits industry’s highest honor.

The Gabryl Award honors exceptional volunteer service and lasting contributions to NADP and the dental benefits industry.

For more than a decade, Donna has shared her time, insight and leadership in service to NADP. In 2017, she joined the Membership WorkGroup and quickly became a driving force, serving as chair from 2018 to 2020 and later as board liaison from 2020 to 2022.

Her leadership helped shape one of NADP’s most important membership initiatives: a market analysis of similar healthcare organizations that led to today’s dental plan membership dues structure. By helping move the association from enrollment requirements to revenue reporting, Donna supported a more equitable, modern, practical and sustainable approach to membership.

Donna’s service extended far beyond membership. She has contributed to the Future of Dental Care Access Task Force since its inception in 2020, served on the Budget and Audit committees, participated in the 2022 executive director search committee, and provided board liaison support to the Clinical, Communications  and Government Relations WorkGroups.

As a member of the NADP Board of Directors beginning in 2019, Donna brought the same steady commitment and thoughtful leadership to the association’s highest levels of service. During her two terms, she served as secretary, vice chair and chair.

Under Donna’s leadership as board chair, NADP strengthened its membership, increased revenues and reached record highs in reserves, leaving the association well positioned for continued success.
