Jon Seltenheim, United Concordia Companies, Inc.
Jon K. Seltenheim, United Concordia Companies, Inc., received the Don Mayes Leadership Award for his outstanding wisdom, insight and direction as chair of the NADP Health Care Reform Task Force. Since 2008, Jon represented NADP members at the White House and in numerous visits to Washington, D.C. in his role as HCR Task Force Chair. He guided the task force and association through the many challenges, changes and clarifications pertaining to the ACA. Through his dedicated service to NADP, Jon formed many influential relationships with members of Congress and the Administration, which have advanced the industry’s health care reform concerns and positions.
2013 Professional Biography
Jon Seltenheim is the Senior Vice President, Business and Government Strategy, for United Concordia Companies, Inc. He is responsible for United Concordia’s healthcare reform activities, eBusiness, Government contracts and strategic partnership implementations. Jon possesses more than 30 years of group insurance and managed healthcare experience
In 1997, Jon joined the Harrisburg-based United Concordia. Prior to United Concordia, he had been with CIGNA Healthcare in a variety of field and Home Office positions, both in dental, as well as the other healthcare related products. Subsequent to CIGNA, he held the position of Chief Operating Officer of MIDA Dental Plans, which was acquired by United Concordia in 1996.
Jon’s dedication to NADP and the dental benefits industry has known no bounds. In 2008, Jon received the industry’s highest honor, the Gabryl Award, recognizing his many achievements including service as Board Chair (2003-2006) and Foundation Chair, negotiator of the original CDT License Agreement and leadership of several volunteer groups including the Communications, Annual Conference and Membership Task Forces.
Jon’s volunteer service extends beyond NADP. Previously he has been a member of the Board of Trustees for Westminster College in New Wilmington, PA and a member of the Business Advisory Council for Miami University of Ohio.
Jon earned a BA in Business Administration from Westminster College of Pennsylvania and received his MBA at Miami University of Ohio.
