- Growth of EDI WorkGroup: Under Williams’s leadership, the EDI WorkGroup has expanded from 10 to 35 members. This growth has resulted in increased engagement among workgroup members. Williams’s ability to inspire volunteers has been key to this remarkable expansion.
- Improvement in Communications About Electronic Transactions: Williams’s expertise in technology and EDI issues has fostered open dialogue between dental plans and DSOs. His willingness to listen and collaborate has led to improved outcomes for all members.
- CMS Approval of New RARC: Williams successfully directed the volunteer effort to gain approval from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) of a new Remittance Advice Remarks Code (RARC) for the 835 dental transaction. His knowledge and dedication enabled NADP to engage effectively with CMS, resulting in the approval of the new code within months. This achievement has streamlined electronic business transactions, saving substantial time and costs for both dental plans and DSOs.
