2003 Professional Biography

Phyllis A. Klock recently retired as President, Chief Operating Officer and Director of CompBenefits Corporation.  Ms. Klock first became associated with CompBenefits as a consultant in 1981.  She joined the Company full-time in 1986 as Vice President/Operations, was promoted to Senior Vice President in 1993, to executive Vice President in 1996 and to President and Chief Operating Officer in 1997.  Ms. Klock serviced in various positions in insurance company and university administration prior to joining CompBenefits.

A graduate of Bridgewater Sate College in Massachusetts, Ms.Klock undertook graduate studies at the University of Illinois and Virginia Tech and earned the FLMI designation from the of Office Management Association (LOMA).  Prior to her service on the NADP Board as Vice Chair and as Secretary/Treasurer, she participates don a number of Commissions (Vice Chair of Professional Relations and Chair and Vice Chair of Government Relations), on the Long0Range Planning Task Force and as a founding member of the NADPac.  Ms. Klock is a Trustee of the University of Central Florida and of the University of Central Florida Foundation.
