PLANTATION, Fla.,
February 24, 2021 (Newswire.com) -
Solstice dental plans will be available to individuals and families in
certain markets during the 2021 ACA Special Enrollment Period (SEP),
including the unique open access dental EPO plan. The SEP, in accordance
with the recent Executive Order, is in effect from Feb. 15, 2021, to
May 15, 2021, to support those who have lost healthcare coverage during
the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
During this time, individuals and families in Arizona, Florida, and
New York can select a Solstice dental plan when enrolling in health
insurance coverage on the Federally Facilitated Marketplace (www.healthcare.gov) or the NY State of Health marketplace for New York residents.
Solstice dental plans are also available on a standalone basis (can
be purchased alone without enrolling in a health insurance plan) at www.solsticecare.com to consumers in Arizona, Florida, and New York.
The plans available during the SEP include Solstice's open access
dental EPO plans. These plans use their open access network to bring
individuals and families increased flexibility and access to care.
"The SEP makes healthcare more accessible and effective for
individuals and families during the COVID-19 pandemic. Along those
lines, our dental plans offer families cost-effective coverage and the
ability to see any network general dentist to access the care they need
when they need it," said Brian Correia, Solstice's Vice President of
Sales and Account Management.
Solstice's open access network offers clients:
- No dentist assignments or office rosters - see any in-network primary dentist, any time.
- Over 50,000 access points in 30+ states
- No waiting periods, deductibles, or maximums
In line with the ACA's commitment to making pediatric and family care
accessible and affordable, Solstice's dental plans are specifically
designed with families in mind. The plans available through the ACA
marketplaces and solsticecare.com include:
- Orthodontic coverage for children and adults
- Pediatric dentist coverage until age 16
- Covered fluoride treatments until age 16
- Routine cleanings at no charge every six months
