NADP Board Elects Officers

DALLAS, Texas - – Members of the National Association of Dental Plan (NADP) Board of Directors elected the following officers on Oct. 30.

  • Chair: Jeremy Hedrick, Careington International
  • Vice Chair: Sue Wright, Lincoln Financial
  • Secretary: Jeff Schwab, Dominion National
  • Treasurer: Donna Hunter, United Concordia Dental

Hedrick serves as senior vice president at Careington International Corporation as well as president of its affiliate telemedicine company, DialCare, which offers teledentistry, telemedicine, and tele-behavioral health services nationwide. He has been a vital component of Careington’s growth for the last 20 years, serving in many critical senior leadership roles throughout the Careington companies. During his tenure, Jeremy has helped lead the strategic growth of Careington’s network development department, customer support call center, compliance, claims administration, operations of Careington’s affiliate nationally licensed TPA, as well as operations of Careington’s UK affiliate, Munroe Sutton. In each of these roles, Jeremy has been intimately involved in the workings of these critical segments of the industry and an integral part of the growing network lease and discount dental market.

Wright has accumulated close to 25 years of experience working in the dental insurance industry. Since 2007, she has been concentrated solely on Dental products and network management, expanding to include Vision experience in 2012.  In her current position as assistance vice president, Dental and Vision Product Solutions at Lincoln Financial Group, she has a broad range of organizational, product, network and industry knowledge.

Schwab is vice president of marketing for Dominion National, a leading dental and vision insurer and administrator that serves over 900,000 members. He has nearly 20 years of experience in marketing, public relations and corporate communications. Schwab is responsible for leading Dominion’s marketing, public relations and advertising efforts, as well as overseeing the company’s new product launches and individual product lines both on and off the exchanges. He has led the development and execution of Dominion’s teledentistry pilot program with the goal of improving member engagement, satisfaction and access to dental care. He has also helped spearhead studies that reinforce how integrating dental and medical coverage and care can be associated with improved health and lower costs for those dealing with chronic medical issues. He is also a guest speaker at national industry conferences to discuss teledentistry trends and the importance of preventive dental care. Schwab holds a Master of Business Administration from the University of Maryland Global Campus and a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism from the University of Maryland. In 2019, he was a Leadership Center for Excellence “40 Under 40” award recipient.

Hunter is vice president, Strategic Business Development at United Concordia Dental and is responsible for overseeing corporate strategy; marketing; business insights and analytics; corporate communications, and community outreach.  She joined United Concordia Dental in 1997 and has held numerous positions within Finance and Sales before moving into her current role. Prior to joining United Concordia, Donna worked at both Sprint and Pennsylvania Blue Shield in Finance, where she developed cost management models. With more than 25 years of experience in the insurance industry, Donna holds a Master of Business Administration from Mount Saint Mary’s University and a Bachelor of Science in Finance from Shippensburg University.

In addition, Immediate Past Chair Ron Bolden, Cigna, serves as a non-voting ex-officio member of the executive committee.

The NADP Board of Directors includes nine voting representatives from dental plan members.  Additional board members include:

  • Richard Jones, The Guardian Life Insurance Company of American
