Dominion Expands Pennsylvania Dental Network

Dominion Dental Services (Dominion), a leading provider and administrator of dental and vision benefits headquartered in Alexandria, Va., has acquired Rayant Insurance Company of Pennsylvania’s dental network effective October 1, 2012.

Dominion Dental Services (Dominion), a leading provider and administrator of dental and vision benefits headquartered in Alexandria, Va., has acquired Rayant Insurance Company of Pennsylvania’s dental network effective October 1, 2012. Rayant is a wholly owned subsidiary of Horizon Healthcare Services, Inc., New Jersey's oldest and largest health insurance company.

The acquisition will grow Dominion’s PPO dental network in the Philadelphia Metropolitan area by approximately 33 percent. Participating dentists can be identified via Dominion’s online provider search by October 1, 2012. Dominion will also be offering replacement group dental business coverage to Rayant groups in the Philadelphia Metropolitan area.

“This is a great opportunity for Dominion to further expand its network access in Southeastern Pennsylvania as we work to become the largest dental network in the region,” said Dominion President Mike Davis. “Our existing members will also benefit from the additional participating dentists.”
