Summary:
The VP of Sales and Service is responsible for the Sales and Group Services Departments promoting group dental and vision sales. This person will contribute to the growth and profitability of Dominion Dental through the tactical management of prospective and existing accounts.
Essential Job Functions (include but are not limited to):
- Define the overall sales plan(s) and related activities in order to meet or exceed stated sales and revenue goals.
- Recruit, coach, and manage sales staff to achieve annual sales goals and financial objectives.
- Provide leadership, direction and motivation to the sales and service organizations.
- Leads the development of proposals, RFP responses, and client, broker, and consultant presentations.
- Engages external constituents and articulates Dominion’s capabilities/value proposition to create business opportunities and/or enhance the perception of Dominion.
- Develops and maintains senior-level client relationships.
- Actively participates in community activities, business coalitions, and industry gatherings as appropriate.
- Works with product and rate development staff to ensure competitive product line(s)
Qualifications:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty. The qualifications listed below are representative of the candidate’s education, knowledge, skill and/or ability required to perform this job.
- At least 5 years progressively increasing management experience in an employee benefits related field.
- At least three years in a sales producer role.
- Desire bachelor’s degree in relevant curriculum (Business, Communications, Management, or Marketing).
- Exposure to health insurance industry. Familiarity with ancillary and supplemental lines of business is preferred.

Job Summary

Job Summary
The Senior Accountant will be responsible for performing a variety of accounting duties including preparing closing journal entries and supporting schedules, account reconciliations, accrual analysis of estimation accounts, financial and trend analysis, project expense tracking, documentation of internal controls.
Experience with insurance statutory reporting or experience with financial systems such as StoneRiver PRO or eFreedom desired.
Essential Functions
- Prepare journal entries, schedules and other supporting documentation as part of the monthly or quarterly financial closing process.
- Prepares various reinsurance reports and schedules
- Prepares more complex accrual analysis for estimation accounts
- Serve as business partner to other departments

Job Summary
The primary responsibility for the Regional Vice President position is to work in conjunction with the SVP of Sales to achieve new business and General Agency (GA) recruiting goals. Through proactive communication, follow-up and coordination of administrative support, the RVP achieves assigned sales goals by cultivating existing relationships and bringing new clients to the organization. This position will work through General Agencies, Insurance Companies, TPAs and HMO distribution channels. The relationships that this position interacts with include our strategic accounts as well as other relationships critical to the success of the company. This is a base pay plus variable compensation position. The candidate will be placed at a base pay commensurate with their experience.
Essential Functions
- 40% Achieve annual new business goals with new and existing sources.
- 40% Prospect, qualify and recommend for approval new distribution sources to support long-term growth objectives. Achieve distributor growth goals.
- 5% Assist with the management of the company’s distribution network. Monitor client performance through regular personal visits to assigned clients. Coordinate and monitor visits and action items with other Company representatives.
- 5% Assist with the ongoing client evaluation process, follow company rules of engagement, support company corrective action plans and profit objectives.
- 5% Work collaboratively with the underwriting department to achieve retention, close ratio and profitability goals.
- 5% Collect competitive intelligence, provide product development recommendations, and collaborate with other sales executives.
Knowledge/Skills/Basic Qualifications
- Group Ancillary and Dental insurance background
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing or a related field
- 10+ years successfully selling insurance products (Ancillary product experience preferred; Life, Dental, Vision, Disability)

Experience with insurance statutory filings or experience with financial systems StoneRiver PRO and Tracker or any premium tax software highly desired. This position requires exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.

Job Summary
The primary responsibility for the Account Executive is to support the new and established relationships by providing efficient, high quality service to General Agents, Private Label partners and their staffs. The Account Executive will be a key component and external presence of on-going Security Life Insurance Company of America relationships.
Essential Functions
- In conjunction with the Regional Vice President, be responsible for new client implementations. Actively participate in pre-sale meetings, in addition to conducting onboarding product training meetings, conference calls, and webinars.
- Serve as client’s primary home office support. Responsible for responding to complex customer inquiries and solving problems, ensuring client satisfaction with products and service. Frequently partners with internal departments (Underwriting, Marketing, Operations) to meet deadlines and to respond to client needs.
- Keeps Regional Vice President and Senior Vice President informed of account status and opportunities for expanded business.
- Manages multiple priorities and deadlines, working independently and pro-actively. Negotiating and managing expectations for mutually acceptable solutions.
- Develop achievable annual marketing plan for assigned clients.
- With RVP, monitor client growth relative to marketing plan
Knowledge/Skills/Basic Qualifications
- College degree.
- 5+ years working in a similar capacity. Knowledge base of group insurance products (dental, vision, life, disability).
- Experience dealing with multiple audiences in the insurance industry space (IMO / FMO / General Agents, agents, TPA’s).
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office computer applications (Power Point, Excel, Word)
- Strong relationship skills to foster and grow relationships assigned.
- Ability to organize and manage multiple projects and priorities with a proactive approach.
